We would like to congratulate the Muleshoe FFA Vet Science and Floral teams on a very successful day at the Levelland Invitational Contest today. Katelyn Kelley was the high individual for the Vet Science contest out of a 109 participants and both teams placed second overall! Way to go!

Provided Texas Education Agency and ETS (testing software company) resolve all testing issues, Muleshoe ISD is planning to resume the administration of the online STAAR assessments for 4th and 7th grade Writing and English I on Wednesday, April 7th, 2021. Students involved in testing will receive more guidance.
Siempre que la Agencia de Educación de Texas y ETS (compañía de software de pruebas) resuelvan todos los problemas de las pruebas, Muleshoe ISD planea reanudar la administración de las evaluaciones STAAR en línea para escritura e inglés I de 4º y 7º grado el miércoles 7 de abril de 2021. Estudiantes involucrados en las pruebas recibirá más orientación.
The following is a press release from TEA regarding state STAAR testing today.
Dear MISD Families,
Today, April 6, 2021 our 4th, 7th, and English I students attempted to take the STAAR test for writing/English EOC. Those students taking the test on paper were able to complete their assessment with no difficulties. All ONLINE testers did experience difficulties all of which were on the testing companies site. Texas Education Agency and ETS (testing company) are currently trying to resolve the problem. Our hope is that these issues are resolved and we can resume testing tomorrow, April 7, 2021. In a separate post we will share a statement from TEA. Thank you for your patience as we wait on TEA to make final adjustments and decision.

Hoy, 6 de abril de 2021, nuestros estudiantes de 4º, 7º e Inglés I intentaron tomar el examen STAAR de escritura / EOC en inglés. Aquellos estudiantes que realizaron la prueba en papel pudieron completar su evaluación sin dificultades. Todos los probadores EN LÍNEA experimentaron dificultades, todas las cuales se encontraban en el sitio de las empresas de prueba. La Agencia de Educación de Texas y ETS (empresa de pruebas) están tratando de resolver el problema. Esperamos que estos problemas se resuelvan y podamos reanudar las pruebas mañana, 7 de abril de 2021. En una publicación separada, compartiremos una declaración de TEA. Gracias por su paciencia mientras esperamos que TEA haga los ajustes finales y tome una decisión.

7th Graders will be taking the STAAR Writing test on our campus tomorrow, 04/06/21. We would like to remind everyone that students need to have their Chromebooks charged and ready for testing. Also, no cell phones or smart watches are allowed during State Testing. Get a good night’s sleep and we look forward to a great day tomorrow.
Los estudiantes de 7mo grado tomarán el examen de escritura STAAR en nuestro campus mañana, 06/21. Nos gustaría recordarles a todos que los estudiantes deben tener sus Chromebooks cargados y listos para la prueba. Además, no se permiten teléfonos celulares ni relojes inteligentes durante las pruebas estatales. Duerma bien por la noche y esperamos tener un gran día mañana.
